Final from Hyden.
Good win for PCC, without starter Dylan Cornett.

How many Corbett’s have there been at PCC? It seems there’s been one since I went to school. Are they related in any way?

They had two brothers that played a while back, but I donât think Dylan is related.
Cornetts are common in Perry County though.

Huge 2nd half for Reed. He took over the game.

Now the Leslie homers can stop talking about a first round upset. Not happening
Perry comes in short handed and still wins convincingly

I watched this entire game I had not saw Leslie play and the chatter on here they were on the rise and I think Leslie has a nice team. My impressions of the game is that Perry is deep they were short handed to begin with and early in the second period were in serious foul trouble. they played the whole second quarter basically with their bench and were still able to going to halftime leading. My second point they shot free throws very well a lot better than Leslie. In a tournament or a possession by possession game free throws and bench are crucial. Perry will be a tough out in the tournament they are better than early in the season. Anything can happen and the 54th is tough Buckhorn will be a tough first round game in the district. It’s going to be a great tournament. JMO

Leslie is no where near as good as people say they are. Free throws kill them. After the Breathitt game, you would have thought they were contending for a regional title. Breathitt was down one of their leading scorers and it still took a miracle to beat them. They have no impressive wins this year at all. I think they return about everyone but 2 and may be tough next year but this isnât their year.

I saw two different games. I watched both live streams. Leslie dominated breathitt the whole game. Breathitt made a late comeback run by a player who was fouled out and shouldnt of been playing. Breathitt led once the whole game.
Against Perry it was a 1 point game at half time. Perry had no answer for Leslie man to man so they went some which was a good call. Reed took over in the second half, but what beat Leslie was that Perry decided to cherry pick players out for easy buckets and it worked. Thatâs where their 8 point lead came from.
My opinion is if this Leslie team can defeat breathitt, recently lose to Perry and Hazard by single digits, then people are just being biased to think an upset in both the first and second round of district canât be done. Especially having home court advantage.

The fact that Perry switches to zone in 2nd half did help them probably shouldn’t have played Leslie man to man but they didn’t cherry pick players they turned Leslie over several times and beat them back down court for lay-ups. Their guards are their strong point. They are very quick.
