Isaiah May and Cory Vanhoose both had nice games in this one. It was pretty sloppy play throughout but they just kept attacking.

Magoffin Co has some really nice pieces but they are very young. They would get a little bit of momentum and then sail a pass 5 feet over someone’s head or take a contested transition 3 and air ball it. As some of these guys get more and more varsity experience I expect them to be a tough team to play especially at Magoffin.

Magoffin’s coaching staff didn’t do the team any favors in the 1st quarter. Both teams were playing pretty even and then Magoffin bench gets a warning. Not a minute later the bench gets a technical foul and then the head coach gets a technical foul for arguing about it. JC makes all 4 free throws and then hits a 3 Pointer on the next possession.

When you are trying to pull an upset you can’t just spot a team like JC seven points mid way through the 1st quarter. I don’t think Magoffin was able to get JCs lead under 10 points the rest of the game despite playing pretty decent.

Also didn't help that he kept showing the refs up the rest of the game. When he was told to take his chair because of the technical he moved his chair in front of his assistant and put it right against the out of bounds line. Other times he did little things to get the refs attention. Refs are human so they called it super tight the rest of the game by calling everything on Magoffin (22 fouls plus 2 technical) allowing Central to shoot 24 of 29 from the line.

Sounds like he should have been threw out of the game .
