Kentucky Gets Top 2021 Guard
#1
Thursday night Kentucky received a commitment from Devin Askew, the #2 combo guard and #10 player nationally in the class of 2021. Askew chose the Cats over Louisville and Arizona after many national recruiting analyst had picked him to choose the Cardinals. Askew has flirted with the idea of reclassifying to next years 2020 class and at this point I see that as the most likely scenario.

Askew is listed at 6’3 200 lbs but recent measurements out of Mater Dei have him at 6’5. He is said to be the best perimeter shooter Cal has gotten since Brandon Knight.

Big get for Cal. Recruiting has really looked good here lately after a lot of people said they didn’t think Cal still had his edge.

The next big target for Cal is the #1 guard in the 2020 class, Cade Cunningham. This kid is a baller and to make it even more important he is AAU teammates with Greg Brown who is the #1 PF in the class. Brown has been noted as to saying that Cunningham committing to UK would make he take a closer look at Kentucky.

Recruiting inside of recruiting. It’s a chess match trying to get these players.
