Most Disappointing Loss to End a UK season?
#1
What is your opinion on the most disappointing loss to end a Wildcat season?

Easy. The 38-1 team and the loss to Wisconsin for me. I cried as a 20 year old watching that game.

I don't normally get upset or disappointed after any of my teams losing. However, the loss to Duke in 92 was disappointing to me because they were coming off probation and had a couple players from EKY.

That was my most heart breaking by far. In the end I wasn’t that disappointed because I didn’t give us much of a chance going in. Number 1 heartbreaker though.

1975 loss

Wisconsin loss by far.

Not old enough to remember the Duke game aside from being with people watching it and seeing the highlights now.

First is the 2015 game against Wisconsin.

Second is the 2003 game against Marquette because I thought UK was the best overall team and was a huge Tubby fan.

Third is the 2014 game against UConn because I was there and it was in my home State, but I feel like we were on borrowed time in that one and lucky to even get to the Sweet 16, so it didn't sting as bad.

Fourth is the 2004 game against UAB my freshman year at UK. That one stung.

Middle Tn. With the twin towers.
#12
They didn't have the twin towers in 1982 vs. Middle Tennessee State.
#13
Bowie and Turpin 79-84 Sam 79 and Melvin came in 80. Turpin played Bowie leg was hurt from buggy wreck. But it was MT , so it was tough 50-44 and not one KY player scored in double figures . Very disappointed.
#14
Sam Bowie was out the entire 1981-82 season with injury. Kentucky started:
Melvin Turpin
Chuck Verderber/Charles Hurt
Derrick Hord
Jim Master
Dirk Minnifield

Dicky Beal and Tom Heitz off the bench.

I would add the 93 semifinal loss to Michigan to those two...we were a wrecking ball that year...should have won it all
#19
The Wisconsin game was pretty rough.
#20
97 OT loss stung too. Should of had 3 straight Nattys!!! All of them sting and are disappointing.
#21
The worst thing for me at the end of the season, Calipari keeps coming back.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Best post of the thread.

For me the 92 Duke game and the 2003 Marquette game when Dwyane Wade pretty much beat Kentucky by himself.
