Why would they lose kids to Floyd and Pikeville? Johns Creek has a great facility and the Pike Central Middle School will be beautiful, I'm sure. I would think the parents from that area would love that idea.

Closer to their work plus gas prices are so high right now. From all the parents I have spoke to from Mullins they have said that is what they would do.

Because this is a sports based forum, I think I can ask this. Would the parents still move them to a different school district when next year they may be ineligible to play their freshman year?

Who in their right mind would send their kid to BL over a brand new school or Johns Creek, one of the better schools in the county.
If they sent them to Pikeville, they would have to pay tuition, so there goes the gas price deal, as the reciprocal agreement has a cap.

i do agree but im just going on the facts on what ppl have said to me. IMO we just needed to consolidate all county schools into 2 super schools. This could have worked out due to the new road that is being built. But hey im just a voice in a million faces.

I was thinking the same thing. Wasnt the KHSAA trying to pass it to where you had to go to the high school that the middle school feeds into?
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.
