I don’t think anyone has problems with county wide recruits. It’s the others. Either way, it is what it is. Perry would NOT have won had they not had Reed.

If you are against players switching schools then you are against perry,knott, hazard, cordia, Powell and a few more so let’s not act like this is just perry. A recruit is a recruit no matter if they lived a mile away or 3,000 miles away

That’s the point. You shouldn’t have to have transfers to win if your program and coach is as great as you say. Look at Perry Central’s record without their “transfers”. They would never had won anything without them and was losing to everyone.

There’s a big difference between a local kid switching schools from one-county-to-another as opposed to kids from hundreds, sometimes thousands, of miles away magically appearing at these schools, living with ‘guardians’ and becoming eligible halfway through the season, just in time for the District tourney.

I don’t approve of either type of transfer but I find the latter much more reprehensible. Perry Central has mastered it.

I thought Reed came from Cordia, I guess it was ok when hazard took Hudson from Cordia.
I know for a fact Hazard tried to get Frazier and Reed
Turner is from Jackson City, Bennett is from Buckhorn
I bet Jackson City is closer to Perry Central than Buckhorn is to Hazard.

It'd be nice if we could talk about basketball on here.

That has been the way I have felt from the moment Cordia hired Rhodes until he was gone. Too much hate and not enough basketball. Do not get me wrong, the hate is justified, but the hate if Hazard had won would have been justified as well. If Hazard had beat KCC when they had Hudson the hate towards them would have been justified as well. If Rod had won at Cordia the hate would have been so intense.

Recruiting has been a part of basketball for many many years and now it has just reached outside the state instead of within. IDK if PCC, Hazard, KCC, Cordia, or any other school will have new players or not. It is just the process now and we as fans must live with it. If anybody does not like it then they can stop watching boys basketball and go and watch girls basketball, as the girls teams around here are all EKY players.

Not really sure why you singled me out on this post but whatever. I don’t think I was the only poster on the thread about the recruiting topic and I was pulling for Knott after LCC was beat out of the tournament. I have seen some of your post calling Perry Central the “Cordiamodes” which sounds to me like you have a problem with recruiting to so why single out one person like that??!!

Hazard was able contain Back who only had 3 points but was unable to contain Reed and his athleticism around the basket who had 17. Would like to know Backs game totals on the year. That has to be one of the lowest, if not the lowest.
