Just wondering what people think about how POY and COY voting is done, and if it should be voted on after at least regional tournament play, i know in the 15th region that bothe girls and boys POY and girls COY went home in first round of districts, just wondering what people thought about this process

I think it's kind of like the Mr./Ms. Basketball, just because a kid doesn't make it to (or advance in) the state tournament, doesn't mean they SHOULD NOT be Mr./Ms. Basketball. Can't select a candidate based off post season play IMO.

I’m fine knowing the candidates early - but the one per region thing gets me.

There are several kids who don’t get an invite and are better candidates than some of the kids who are in the running.

If the POY can’t get his or her team to tbe region , are they deserving .

It depends if you are doing on a career or a season, if you are doing it on a season he probably shouldn’t win and you hate to punish a kid for being hurt but it’s not the kid who has played 30 games fault, i just think it’s a lot of politics
