I'm shocked that Whitley took a staff from PCC and ended up getting a program equal to it.
I will never understand the thinking behind this. All the talent will continue to end up at Corbin and Whitley will be on par with South Laurel from now on.
Just a sad state of affairs.

This game was a lot closer than the score indicates. A missed field goal early in the game and a couple of critical turnovers by Whitley in the 3rd quarter made all the different in the end.

Absolutely, it's a loss anyway but Colonels with costly turnovers, drops on offense and few could have been interceptions but that's just football. Defense played a great game except for two big plays on a pass to #34 and a run by Perry's punter. This game could have easily been a win. Congrats to Perry Central for a big district win. Whitley needs to take care of Harlan and Letcher County and let the pieces fall as the may. Perry with a nice team and their kids just executed better.

No consolation for me. My kids go to corbin. I left the Whitley program behind years ago for reasons just like this.

Congrats PCC. The only problem with WC taking care of those two teams of HC and LCC is LCC already beat PCC and HC beat LCC. Football math i know Confusednicker: this will be another year of this district coming down to the wire. I like HC chances with them getting healthier every week and the bye this week helps. Will get interesting over the next couple weeks

The bye week really came at a good time for HC. The injured are starting to come back last week against Letcher you could tell a huge difference in the O-line play because we got almost all our starters back up front. If we keep healing up I like our chances in district the rest of the way!!!
