District Surprises
#1
Not too much in the form of surprises. These three stuck out to me.

49th District. Jackson County (13-10) beat Clay County (22-12) 8-5.

63rd District. Russell (15-16) beat Raceland (24-6) 2-0.

63rd District. #2 in KY Greenup (32-5) beat Lewis (12-12) 2-0.

Wild night in the 63rd. 16th All-A winner goes down and Greenup sweats one out.

Jackson County seems to have Clay's number this year.

Clay County took 2/3 from Jackson County this year. 18-2 and 10-2. The one game they lost is the one that counted the most and not to mention, this was @ Clay County.

Very disappointing end for the Tigers. A solid season ends on a sour note.

In the 58th District, I'd have to say Betsy Layne defeating Prestonsburg was a mild upset.

Prestonsburg beat Betsy Layne 12-2 and 10-0 in the regular season. I'd say last night's game is a HUGE upset to this point. I'm assuming Prestonsburg held on to the top pitchers and possibly felt they could win this one and prepare for Lawrence. Well, if so........that didn't work out well......

I was mainly referring to the fact Jackson County knocked them out in basketball and baseball.
