With AC graduating 6 Seniors last season- I'm not sure how they will match up. At this point 2 of the 3 returning starters are still playing basketball (Alex Hammonds and Josh Prater). Scott Little is the only returning starter who is able to give 100% to the baseball program right now. It's still a little early for me to make a prediction on this one.

After getting a few scrimmages in- AC is looking better than I expected with such an inexperienced group. In their scrimmages so far they have started 1 Senior, 3 Juniors, 1 Sophomore and 4 Freshmen. 2 of the Juniors and the Sophomre (Prater,Hammonds, Little) are the only returning starters. I look to see Hammonds or Prater on the mound in the season opener. With 5 games scheduled this week- I expect Coach Johnson to be looking to his younger players for some pitching. I still haven't heard anything on what Phelps has this season-but Good Luck to the Hornets.

Phelps has: Gannon, Page, Sullivan, Robinette, Salyer, and a couple more who started last year returning. They only lost 2 seniors so IMO.... they are gonna be pretty good...

I haven't gotten to see them practice but 1 time..... Good luck boys....

Your forgot probably Phelps best player in Dillion Stiltner, who is an excellent lefty pitcher. Good luck to the Hornets, it is hard to tell how the season opener will go, I say both of these teams still have alot to figure out heading into tonights game.
