As long as Tubby Smith was going to be coach at the University of Kentucky, Steffphon Pettigrew knew he would not be playing in the Blue and White. But now that Smith has moved north, Pettigrew has said that he will be watching the search for UK's next coach very closely. According to Rivals.com, Kentucky is the school that Pettigrew has most interest in, but yet the only school (of the 6 pursuing him) that has yet to offer a scholarship. I realize Kentucky had already offered their scholarships to other players, but with Randolph gone, does that open up another scholarship for the upcoming year? If so, what are the chances of us seeing Mr. Pettigrew in Lexington next season?

I would say that if Donovan is hired, Patterson and Lucas will committ and All-American Nick Calathes would come from Florida to follow Donovan.

If Donovan says no, I wouldn't be surprised to see UK make a push for Pettigrew to help spin some positive news for Kentucky fans, especially those crying that the state's flagship university ignores in-state talent. UK will be grasping for any straw they can find to spin positive news if Donovan turns down the UK job.

I think we will be seeing Pettigrew in UK colors next season. Only problem with him he is undersized at 6'5, but hes a force down low who can handle his and will get his.

I'd rather have the Hill kid out of Holmes if we get an in state player.
