Scott County 72 Bryan Station 58
#1
(1)Scott County traveled to (4) Bryan Station and got the 72-58 win. Scott County jumped out to 17-16 lead after 1. Bryan Station came back and controlled the 2nd quarter to take a 40-28 halftime lead. Scott County dominated the 3rd which included a 20-1 run. Scott County controlled the 4th to secure the win. Bryan Station was nailing the 3's in the 1 st half but went cold in the 2nd half. Scott County's size was too much for them. Scott County improves to 19-1. Bryan Station falls to 16-2. These same two teams meet next week in Scott County.

Scott County made some major defensive adjustments at the half that turned the game completely 180 degrees. The biggest adjustment was putting the smaller, quicker, stronger Glenn Covington on Boone. Boone had a double, double at the half but was very quiet the second half.

Surprised at this score. I felt that Bryan Station was the top team in the 11th region. Scott County is firmly in control, but the regional tournament should be interesting. Scott, Bryan Station, Madison Central and Lafayette are my top teams that could emerge.

Don't sleep on Lexington Christian or Lexington Catholic. With 6 ranked teams the 11th region tournament most likely will have a stronger field than the Sweet 16. Scott County has do be the favorite. Other than their loss to Bowling Green in the Sweet 16 last year, they have not been beaten by another Kentucky team in over 13 months. They have won their last 24 games over other 11th region teams. The rematch against Bryan Station next week will be well worth the price of admission.

The internet Crew announced tonight's game was a sellout. No one else was allowed in the gym unless someone left. With the great crowd at the Corbin-KNOX central game it gives one hope that high school basketball is on the rise.

Scott Co is the hands-down favorite to capture 11th region crown. Not only are they very talented but if you look at their roster they are young too (mostly juniors).

I am saddened for my Defenders I thought they we could win this game but Scott Co is to much they are No.1 for sure.

Station played exceptionally well the first half. I think the difference was the Scott County defensive half-time adjustments. It will be interesting to see these two play again next week.

Sounds like this game would've been a good game to watch. I did think it was going to be a little closer than it was. Is it too early to say that it looks like Scott County will most likely win State?

They certainly have a shot. However, there are a lot of good teams in Kentucky and the 11th region will be tougher to win than even the Sweet 16. They have a brutal district and region.

No argument from me.
