With the Governor's Cup competition being held over the weekend, I thought that this would be a good time to congratulate all of the area's High School and Middle School academic teams on their season. These kids work hard and a lot of time goes into preparing for a academic match

I would also like congratulate the Johnson County Middle School on winning the 2007 Governor's Cup for the second year in a row (Middle School Division) and also to Johnson Central High School for a 2nd place finish in the 2007 Governor's Cup (High School Division). Other area schools in both Middle and High School Divisions done well this year.

Russell High School finished 5th
Pikeville High School finished 6th
