A little uglier than us hound fans wanted. But, it's survive and advance now. Onto next week.

Congrats to Hounds

I think this cold weather and the recent game made them come out a little flat. Can’t do that from here on out. Bell kids played with heart though. Gotta give them some credit. Refs missed some big calls and a lot of offsides on the defense. But other than that a decent game by the Hounds. They’re gonna have to get used to catching in cold weather. That first drive was a TD if the kid caught it on the sideline

Will The Hounds face Pirates for two weeks ?

Pretty impressed with the fight and heart bell showed. I still hate bell and I dislike ole dud, but the players should hold their heads high. Thought the refs should've taken more control of the game. Too much chippy stuff going both ways. Till next year bobcats, it should start getting more interesting every year from here on out.

Congratulations to the hounds

Yeah this one should defiantly get more interesting every year.

I have watched Bell County Sports for over 40 years. I have seen some of the fans give up too early and act nasty but I have never seen one player do that over the years. They sure are a proud bunch.....like most of the mountain teams. Good luck to their Seniors. They have had a tough time over their 4 year tenure and I hate that for them.

Congratulations to Corbin. Sorry the game got chippy. Nobody needs that crap this late in the season.

This could be the start to a great rivalry for the next years!z

One thing for certain is Dudley hates losing and he will begin to right the ship. Corbin will be loaded for the foreseeable future so I am looking for some titanic battles in coming years.

Bell County had a 10-3 record their soph year and 9-3 their freshman year, so it wasn't all bad.

Sad to say it but I think bells season ended due to Corbin the last 4 years. The seniors never got a chance to beat them I’m pretty positive. I hate that for them.

I didn't mean to insinuate that they did but when I re-read my post, it sure sounded like it. I was using a cell phone, and my diction sorta sucked so allow me to be plain.

I don't KNOW anything but got the real impression that Bell was having a difficult time just finding someone interested enough to get the boys in the weight room during off season. The administration wasn't doing much that I could see to help them, and they just could not land a coach at that time. Just constant distractions and up and downs.

The kids did a great job with the records that they compiled, but it shouldn't have been as hard as it was to do that.

Credit to the kids.

Going by the score alone it really sounds like Bell fought their tails off in this game. Credit to their kids and coaches for holding Corbin under 35 and getting a score themselves. Corbin is incredibly hard to score on.

Bell did fight their butts off. 1st half they wanted it more, it seemed like our kids were just going through the motions thinking they’d get a W no matter what. Found out they couldn’t do that. 2nd half they got their heads on a little straighter. I think that cold weather killed us a little. Not much emotion from us or the fans. Also affected our WRs. 1st drive kid wife open on the sideline dropped what would be a TD. Happened a couple other times too. But they better get used to it. Don’t think we’ll see much warm weather the next couple of weeks.

Colder weather definitely makes it harder on these spread teams that like to throw it around. Have to put all the blame on the receiving core though because Sizemore was putting them throws on the money! Kid is an absolute gamer... does he have any offers at the next level yet?

Was glad to see Bell not back down like they did in the first game. Seems like they were on a mission to prove that even though Corbin is a much better off program right now, they’re not gonna roll over and die anymore. They needed that type of game going into next year. Congrats hounds and good luck the rest of the way!

Cold weather definitely factored on passing game, Corbin’s o line took over late first quarter when we quit trying to get everything on the edge. Watched the game again today and when we started running between tackles it opened up the slant then came some scores. Had one big run on outside the first score, like hound said dropped to many scores gotta get use to cold weather. I will say that was not the same bell team we played earlier, they was on a mission. I think someone said they didn’t arrive until 23 minutes before kickoff, ole dud must have gotten them ready in a parking lot somewhere because they played pissed off. Officials let it get out of hand, mostly because they didn’t want to hear any crying around which in turn caused it to get ugly. No call for some of what went on in this game. Bell fans got ugly after game, kids throwing punches every time Corbin player was on the ground, just bad football at this point in the season with either team a chance to advance to something more than a single game. All in all Corbin won a physical game to advance and bell played the best game I seen them play this season, the score don’t reflect the statement about bell but they reminded me of old bell football. Corbin had two bad snaps on punt that could have made it closer. Bell couldn’t capitalize with short field and on the other punter got it off just within a near block.

Classy statement! That's the way it should be. When you beat someone don't keep beating them with words but show respect and class and move on to the next game. Well said Sir.

Cold weather affected our offense (maybe) the very first drive, and that was maybe the only drive we didn't score on this Friday. It was our defense that incredibly let us down, and the strong suit of our defense was the most disheartening part. I don't think it was the cold. I just don't understand it. Coach told me we were trying to play hero ball on defense, not disciplined...Just ridiculous stuff. The other team deserved to win, so, in a moral sense the best thing happened. As this means so much to all of us, I'd obviously still have rather won, morals be danged. lol.
