Johnson Central 12 Paintsville 0 (6 Innings)
#1
Final from Charlie Adkins field. JC's Gabe Ferrell pitched his 2nd Career No Hitter tonight.
JC claims the #1 Seed in the 57th District tournament.

JC is now 17-6 overall & 5-1 in the District.
Paintsville is now 10-10 overall & 3-3 in the District.

FWIW..... the JC senior class is 7-3 vs. their cross-town rival in regular season and post season games in their career ('14, '15, '16 & '17) they can meet again in the district and/or regionals.

Hey Pulp. Where are your other post about JC's first 21 games?

Just to let you know and give you some info. JC has one of the better teams in the state. They do have quite a few wins against some really good teams this year. St. X...Elder...Lex Cath...Woofard...a pretty good Hazard team....Not to mention the TN and GA teams.
Instead you wanna post about beating the "Cross Town Rivals", not saying it would have matter....why didn't you mention that the young Tigers were without their ONLY SR, in Miller (??? Not sure why) and Prolly the states Top SOPH player in Williams (broken thumb). Come on Pulp.

There is only thing JC has to worry about this season in the 57th.
OSBOURNE! If he is on and his team makes the routine plays and gives him one or two runs.....JC may not get out of District. HE IS SCARY TO JC RIGHT NOW.

Why you calling him out. You think he went to the GA., TN. or Louisville. He just reporting the games he say. Did you mention that JC did not threw their 1, 2 or 3 starter? Why not. Come on OffTheHook.

He's doing this because Johnson Central and Paintsville are big rivals and will always be big rivals. So why would he not post about their record about how they have fared against their rivals in the past years? It's a big deal and those games always just mean a little more.

Come on 84. We all know its a big game. Pulp just always has his reasons. Don't try and say I didn't give JC props. They are prolly a Top 5 team in state. Just funny to me. I would rather see info on true power teams that JC beats or losses to. You also need to give Ferrell some cred. Has a pretty good thrower.

Ferrall has signed to play at Eastern I would guess he was a good pitcher. He coming off injury is why he threw. But pulp only posted on this game because he attended it he did not attend any of those games.

Not sure it a big game at this time. JC is 10-2 over the last 12. But i do foresee these two teams playing for Regional Championship in the next 2 to 3 years. Paintsville young team will goes as far as Moore takes them. If he becomes a great high school pitcher then Paintsville will be hard to beat tin 19,20 & 21.

Tigers are gonna be a pretty solid team the next few years. It should be JC/PHS in Dist ship. But.....JC gotta beat OSBOURNE an PHS has to beat LOVELY. Two tough task. Two pretty good arms.

Paintsville definitely is going to be a tough team in the next couple of seasons. I agree with Eagle, Moore is going to be a heck of a pitcher. He really battled tough as an 8th grader.

Will Seth Williams be back this season? He will be a big boost returning to their batting order. Him and T. Miller back would probably change the margin of victory by 2-3 runs but besides that I believe JC has too much fire power right now.

JC has really started to click offensively. Their whole lineup is getting timely hits and they have a ton of team speed on the bases that puts a lot of pressure on the opposition.

Not sure about Miller. But, Williams is hoping to be back by Districts.
JC is solid. I have got to watch them a few times this season. If they get everyone back, I think they have a real shot at it this season. If they can get by Osbourne. Which I honestly think they will. Coach Hall will have them ready. But as we all know...baseball is crazy sport. Good luck to both teams. Nothing would please me more than to see both teams advance and do well.
