Ive noticed when it comes to these sham softball rankings every year, they just keep revoting for the big names who have always been good.

Take South Laurel for example. Im not sure I would put them in the tope 5 of the region, much less getting all state points...
#4
Sadly, many coaches that vote never see ANY of the top teams play. They vote for the teams from their area, and in most cases, these teams are no where close to the top 25! Get out and play some quality teams!!
#5
Yeah, South might be looking at a .500 season or so. Besides losing Lawson, their best pitcher, to Corbin, now they've lost Powenski, who has been one of their best players for several years, to a season-ending foot injury. Not a contender this year, may not even make regional tournament.

As good as Corbin and Wburg should be this year, I just don't see it.
However, its still possible for one of those two to choke. Its happened several times before.

I couldn't agree more.
Most of the times, this type of rankings usually work because the schools that are always in it usually deserve to be, but when you know a team is going to have a down year and people just put them in off name recognition, it puts a sore eye on the meaningless rankings.

Regions 9-12 have been added...

Only 2 teams east of I 75 in the top 25? And one of those shouldn't be?
#11
Middlesboro Softball may be the best they have been since All A State Championship year
