Final from the Greenhouse. Timmy Dalton put up 60 points 14 rebounds and 8 assists. Heck of night in only 32 minutes. Gage Hughes had 35 to lead Greenup.

Wow...looks like zero defense was played in this game.

Wow!

No Defense at all

60 in 32 minutes is impressive! How many 3's were launched?
#6
Dalton has to be the front runner for Mr. Basketball

I wasnt at the game, but would bet you Dalton took less than 3. My guess layups, layups & more layups.

^ I'd say you are right, 15 foot and in. Yet to see anyone around here that can guard the kid.

You would think he has to be in the running at this point... the kid has been leading the NATION in points per game much of the year and is tied for first now with 37.7... and I don't think that includes the 60/61 he had last night.

If he's not, at least,15th region POY and in the running for Mr. Basketball... somethings wrong.

Dalton is definitely a great scorer of the ball 15ft and in. I think the 15th region's best POY without doubt. He can guard if a coach requires him to do so. And can be a team player if filled with talent like him. But I dont think he can win Mr Basketball while playing on his current team.

Timmy has had a great career and I am not taking from that at ALL, however, Tavieon Hollingsworth from Dunbar is the front runner for Mr. Basketball, no question.

I'd have to agree with this for sure. I think he should be a candidate for Mr. Basketball, but unless your team makes it to RUPP I don't see winning it happening.

Wrong.

60 points is incredible but is even more impressive with the fact that Dalton rarely shoots 3s. He can get to the basket at will

In the mix yes, front runner is laughable.

There very well may not have been a lot of defense played in this particular game. But, it is a huge misconception that in high scoring games there is little or poor defense. I have seen some games where both teams scored in the 80s and 90s and the defense was great. Both teams pressing and scoring lots of points off turnovers. Both teams playing up tempo and running. Low scores don't always mean good defense.

I hope Timmy has the grades to get in college and stay , he is a great player .

Timmy has had big scoring games this year against alot of teams. Greenup plays no defense at all which alowed him to get to the basket at will. I saw a picture of this game with all 5 guys from greenup trailing him. Greenup I know has 2 kids that could stay in front of him. I guess scoring sells tickets. No defense in this game.

I think Hollinsworth is almost a lock for Mr. Basketball.

^ I agree.

Looks like Dalton is back on top leading the Nation in points per game at 38.5.

Points Per Game

  1. Timmy Dalton 38.5
  2. Dominik Fragala 37.7
  3. Jarkel Joiner 37.7
  4. Zion Williamson 36.2
  5. Tilquan Rucker 36.1
  6. National Average 5.01

I know that Zion Williamson is a 5 star player and other than Timmy only player i've heard of. But by the time that their college days are over we may never hear there names mention again. If they even GO.
