Congrats to the Centurions! Solid solid football program. Congrats to Danville on a great season. Danville will likely be back in the chase next season. They're pretty young on both sides of the ball.

Special teams and bad snaps killed the Ads. They brought a lot of fight to the game but in the end CAL was just too much. 2A better be worried, CAL's reign of dominance may be starting, but then again they may be 3A with the next alignment. Congrats to CAL on the championship and to Danville on a great season!

That'll at least give them 1 more year for sure in 2A Correct? Is realignment in 2018?

Congrats to CAL they have a great team. Congrats to the ADS, you took the fight to CAL, I think surprised them by how much. But you just can't beat the elite teams with that much trouble executing the offense. Don't get me wrong CAL's defense did a great job disrupting Danville's passing attack(pressuring Dampier and good DB Play) but two long snaps thru the back of the end zone for safties 4 points, and a terrible free kick on the second saftey gave Cal great field position for another short field score. Add in numerous bad snaps to Dampier and illegal motion penalties just kills the offensive rythum. I thought Danville's defense really played well or this could have been a major blow out. That being said I don't think CAL dominated Danville like some thought they would. Danville's main challenge for next year will be replacing 2A player of the year Zach Dampier, anybody that watched them play this year knows that in large part that is how Danville made it to the 2A title game. But one thing I know Clevenger got this team ready with basically a new O-line and D-line, with all those players back with another year of preparation, Danville will be very good next year and probably back to BG.

The little bear in the west has been poked, I would hate to be overlooking them next year. Keep thinking that they are done, nothing makes them more determined.

Disgruntled team due to trying to use a new kicker that had just gotten eligible, and a major disruption in the locker room at half time sunk Danville's chances in the second half. Believe me it was a major problem at half that killed team cohesiveness.
