Combination of things here...Boyd County is a depleted team short on talent and Ashland is getting better as the season has progressed. Not good enough to beat Johnson Central, but much better than they were early in the season. Ashland's linebackers are playing worthy of the article in the paper this week. They laid numerous hard hits on Lion players tonight. Ratliff is proving to be a really good QB as well. Boyd's two biggest games are coming up the next couple weeks with Rowan and East. Those 3 teams will be vying for the final playoff spot.
