That makes me sick. A win is a win.... and a 17 point win is NOT too bad. I don't care what people expected--- this game was still a blow out, whether it be a 17 point win or a 30 point win. These boys catch so much crap just because they have had a good season so far. They get talked about if they win by too much, they get talked about if they win by too little, they DEFINITELY get talked about if they lose (which has only happened once--and they got totally bashed). Give them a break-- congratulations is all you had to say.

Its not that anyone is knocking any of the players.. Its just some of you guys have hyped this team to be so good, that they can't possibly play up to that level.. But its like you guys think that there is no one in this region who can touch SV.. And I just don't really buy into that.. Theres about 3 possibly 4 teams that on a decent night, could come out with a win against SV.. Yes, I do agree they deserve as of right night to be ranked #1 in the 15th, they obviously have the best record..

Look no further than your SV's own fans to blame for this, not all of them but alot of them. Take PF23's quote for example, "Hard game for Valley..yea right..but really congrats Valley". It is quote's like that, that makes everyone hard on SV, I mean all PF23 really had to say was, "Congrats Valley", but no he had to make a sarcastic remark with it. Both teams went out and played this game with heart and class, SV was and is the better team and they proved that, but it is time for certain fans to start showing the same class as the players do and until they do then SV will be criticized for everything. Don't get me wrong most fans at Valley are kind people, but some act like they have never won before and I know for a fact that SV has tradition when it comes to winning in basketball, so when you win a game, act like you've been there before and just say congrats, even discuss some turning points in the game, but do not talk down upon the other team because those kids have more heart, determination, and skill then we could ever imagine having sitting in our seats cheering them on or criticizing them.

Good post. Some Shelby Valley fans do need a reality check, and I honestly don't know why they want to make the fan base as a whole sound bad but unfortunately they do.

agreed...i noticed pcc played a lot of 1-3-1 zone which i don't think sv has seen this season? i think it gave them some problems on the perimeter as well but defense won this game. i look for pikeville to give them a tough game on friday
