heard a rumor today that Al Hollan might be retiring from coaching and wants this job. just a rumor

Might be more people put in for this than the Republican Presidental nomination. Lol I'm hearing Brian Cook, Larry Thacker, Mike Melton, and Glenn Napier have all been feeling the waters.

Good ole pie face needed to call it quits! He helped Knott County long enough and took care of his good ole boys club. Thacker couldn't do it, would be more than a joke than Hall. Melton and Cook both want it but Letcher County already assign baseball, football and volleyball, they don't need basketball too. Have heard Glenn Napier has good shot at it and maybe good ole Don Stacy will make a return. Mike Mays from Owsley County and Monroe Jones from Powell have also been mentioned. Rick Creech from Mt. Sterling would be a very good candidate, their needs to be someone that has a clue about officiating and not just getting it to play games with coaches and officials like it has been for years. Their are several officials ready to or need to be retired, so one of them may be good for the job. Dexter Campbell is one that comes to mind, Yvon Allen is another. Both are close to retirement and either would do good with this job. So their are several that would be good, but don't know if that is what this region will get. Will probably be given to someone who has a hidden agenda in mind and will continue to destroy the 14th officials association. We shall see!

It's pretty simple, get rid of the Brian's that's why the committee voted too many complaints

melton wont get it because he took letcher county ad job. Im hearing cook because he was going to quit refereeing after this year anyway
#9
So is Melton not going to do the same job for Football, Volleyball, baseball & softball? He already has those sports. Which I don't think any one person should do all sports.

Sounds like cook has become the front runner, he is talking to the big wigs from hazard trying to get those harder votes from some of the schools to make sure he can get his 9 + that he needs to win.

Not sure what you're talking about with the 9 plus. If 2 people run it takes 9 votes to win. I'm hearing that a lot more than 2 people are going to put in for it so 5 or 6 votes would win it more than likely.
