42 years ago we stomped Virgie on the way to the KHSAA 1A state championship. Oh I could only hope East Ridge comes out with the same motivation that we once had.

Really though I hate Shelby Valley, but I respect Eric Ratliff more than any coach in the mountains. If they win, he won't run the score up. He remembers what it was like from the other standpoint.

The talent differential was probably different then compared to what it is now, especially with the consolidatin of teams.

Ratliff is a classy coach & his players love and respect him.

What could ever make a grow person hate a school filled with kids form the same local communities that you yourself lives inn. I like a good rivalry between local schools but when the dust settles we are all from the same area and should support each other and show sportsmanship. Really show some class about yourself, the word HATE is alittle strong to be aiming toward children in our community's.
