Should Clark be All Area Player of the year in N Eastern KY?
#1
Who else should be considered? Anyone?
#2
I think you know what I'll say about this. MOST DEFINATELY!!!! I don't think you could give it to anyone else but Kasey. It would be a complete shame for Kasey to win the "Roy Kidd Award" for the best player in 2A and not win the area POTY. And the fact that he did all this while only playing a half or less a game makes it that much more impressive. I could be lil' bias though, maybe just a little. LOL!!

Shawn Grim from Johnson Central has to be at the top of the list somewhere. He rushed for over 200 yards against the eventual state champion, and had somewhere around 2600 yards on the season.

I don't see why Clark wouldn't win it for the small school all-area (1A and 2A) unless Grizzle got it over him, that's the only one I see challenging for it. And YES, Shawn Grim will win for the big school all-area.

Yes

Grimm would be considered large school and Clark would be small school, they each have a POTY award.

Easy one, YES

Small School- Clark
Large School- Grimm(and he's just a Junior)

It would really be strange for Kasey to win the "Roy Kidd Award" for the best player in 2A and not win area POTY. He could also win Mr. Football.

I think Clark definetly deserves the award. But I think that Grizzle is more important to Raceland than Clark is to Russell. Raceland went 11-2 and won the district championship for the first time in three years and they could not have done it without Scott Grizzle. They are both outstanding players and both have amazing stats. Grizzle had around 35 TD passes and 8 rushing TD's and Clark had about 45 rushing TD and is also very tough on D. I think there is a very good chance they could get Co-Players of The Year.

Clark has done alot and to think that he played with a severe injury to his knee for the last 4 games of the season and still produced,, If people thinks he cant play or his heart is not into it, then YOU go out here with a torn Medial and play 4- games with everyone on you hindend, keying on you na dstill produce TD's, he may not have ran for 200 yards a game but he was there to score and make the differnece when it counted.... I have a great deal of respect for this kid and it grew watching him play and knowing he played hurt.... Kasey Clark,, you are a man on a pedistal and we the fans have put you there.. You are a young man and not even out of high school na d sometimes we the fans put pressure on kids to perform... you have played as trooper and your action will not be forgotten at RUSSELL or the area...
Thank you young man for allowing us hasbeens to live out our old stories while watching you give your body to the FOOTBALL GOD evry Friday .... Thank you for your sacrifice and we appreciate your athleticism....
Hope your off season is a good rest..

Kasey Clark should be higher than all area player .. All state .. Mr. Football .. you gotta give this man what he deserves .. you would have to have played against him to know what im talking about
#21
The EKY area never gets any respect in the Mr. Football voting. Not one player in Lexington has ever won Mr. Football. And if Juan Thomas, Josh Gross, Arliss Beach, David Jones, Justin Burke, and many many other great players in the past didn't win it i believe no one will.

I agree a 110%. Josh didn't get near the recognition he deserves. I couldn't believe he didn't make an all-state team as a LB, he was definately one of the best in the state. He's also a great kid and works extremely hard for everything he gets in life.
