Ok. Here we have a 6a team averaging 39 points per game. We have a 2a team average allowed is only 4 points per game. Which do you think will stay closest to their average? My guess the red defense.

Talk about a bad move. McCracken's coach went on radio and told that the only reason we beat PT the way we did was because they played dead legged. Apparently he can't believe that we are that much faster. Helped to fuel the fire in the bellies of some red helmet clad ball players. They already had revenge on their minds.

I doubt what a coach says leading up to the game will have much bearing on anything. Mayfield will do what they do and McCracken will do what they do and the chips will fall where they fall. This new coach, being an outsider of the area, has no idea about the Mayfield history/tradition and likely only sees a 6a team with a depth and size advantage and likely feels pretty good about his chances, as he should.
