Elizabethtown dominating win over West Jessamine,46-6.
#1
The night started great for Elizabethtown and as poorly as a season can for West. The opening kickoff was fielded by, Bernell Cecil(5-9-175) at the one , all he did was flash some speed as he took in to the house to give E-Town the early lead. The point after kick by Peyton Payne, went about fifty-yards but was no good,6-0 E-Town 11:46 left in the opening quarter.

West trying to establish a running game was stopped short on a third and three play, with 9:50 left in the first but a face mask call on the defense, moved the chains.
West could not mount anything and had to punt the ball away a short time later.

E-Town only needed five plays to go eighty-five yard for its next score. The score came from Cecil again on a forty-six-yard run. The kid was so much faster then anyone on the defense, that it was almost unfair for him to get the ball. A two-point run made this a,14-0 game. 7:33 left in the quarter.

West trying to stay in the game with 6:21 left in the first, would get a fine ten-yard run by Marcus Jones. Jones would scramble to avoid the sack and then took off up field to get the gain. The night started great for Elizabethtown and as poorly as a season can for West. That would be about all the offense could do and once again they punted to E-Town.

3:34 mark of the first and once again for E-Town it would be the speed burner,Cecil picking up twenty-two-yards on the ground. I.M.O. if this kid stays healthy there is no reason he can't have a 1.500 yard season.

E-Town would show they have another weapon in the backfield at the 3:23 mark, when Dalonza Cates(5-6-166) sprinted to a twenty-five-yard run. The on the drives third play Derek Smith(5-10-178)scored on a eight-yard gallop to pay dirt. The point after kick was a little short. 20-0 2:57 left in the first.

In the 2nd quarter E-Town would get a twenty-one-yard run by, Cecil at the 11:46 mark.
The kid just needs a little crease to get through or a little block on the outside to get around the corner.

The five-play sixty-seven-yard drive ended with a four-yard twisting and turn run by, Cecil at the 11:21 mark. Tyler Durbin(5-8-130) missed the point after kick to leave the score,26-0.

After stopping the predominately ground game offense from West, E-town would go to work again. This time the drive needed four-plays to go twenty-two-yards. The score came on a Jake Walker(5-10-170) fifteen-yard strike to Peyton Payne(6-3-155)Peyton connected on the point after kick to make this a,33-0 game. 6:50 left in the half.

The West offense would be clamped down again by a suffocating E-Town defense, that had made it known on this night, it was not going to be ran on.

When the E-Town offense hit the field, they were not on the field for long. That's because they only needed one-play to go nine-yards for the score. The scoring play was a inside hand off to Cecil, who handed the ball to Smith. Smith daunted in. The point after kick made this a,40-0 game.

E-Town would get one final big play in the half from its defense, when Koron Mitchell(6-1-190) pounced on a fumble.

The second half would go by very fast, with the running clock.

In the third facing a 4th and 1 W.J. elected to go for it but the back was stopped short by a host of players. Again giving the ball back to E-Town.

West was beat but they looked to have keep trying and giving it all they could and with 6:10 left on the clock Isaiah Vea(5-6-147) coughed the ball up and the WJ defense came away with it.

Late in the third it would be the E-Town defense coming up big, with a sack. Making the sack was Vea.

The fourth would see two more scores.
The first came at the 8:58 mark by E-Town.
Scoring was Vea on a seven-yard run. The point after was missed and we had a,46-0 game.

West would avoid the shutout when,Joe Gilbert plunged in from a yard out, to make the final score,46-6. No point after was tried. The score was set up when Jonathan Diehl recovered a fumble.

A special thanks to the ladies and guys in the booth for getting me the rosters.
The West roster did not have height or wright included.
