Nice game.
Belfry led by 4 at one point, Pikeville led by as many as 7 with 6 ties.
Pretty evenly matched teams.

Very good hard fought game. Belfry is a VERY strong team and both teams played great defense. Could have gone either way. Free throws for Pikeville got weak near the end but fatigue will do that. Congrats Pikeville and great job Belfry. You ALL played your hearts out.

Had Belfry not went 0 for 18 from 3 point land might have made a difference in this game..But ya gotta give credit to Pikeville who for the most part controlled the pace of the game. Overall it was an evenly matched game, although the Adams kid played a big part in the 2nd half which was a big reason Belfry couldnt pull out the win..Congrats to Pikeville, and Belfry keep your heads up its just the beginning of the season...

I was in attendance for tonight's game and both teams played hard. The difference in the end seemed to be the big kid from Pikeville. He blocked several shots and came up with big rebounds. This kid is really improved from last year and he is only going to get better. The Bucs didnt shoot very well but will be a team to contend with in the future. Great early season game.. Why was Jenkins left out of the all tournament picture?

Both teams played very hard. Neither team had a double digit lead. It was a good game to watch all the way to the final buzzer.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

There were only five players on the all tournament team: Pikeville had Honaker and Clevinger, Belfry had Case and May. Wolfe County had one (don't remember his name, he wasn't there). With four teams in the tournamant there probably should have been more than 5. Hoanker also got the MVP award or something like that.

All tournament teams don't have to be politically correct.

The All-Tourney team was questionable....it should have been like this but it wasn't; Honaker and Adams from Pikeville, Case and May from Belfry; Puckett from Jenkins, Evans from Wolfe with the MVP being Matt Clevenger from Pikeville. The award is the John Bill Trivette Award and Ken Trivette had the last word in this. If you know him you know that it is always his way and he won't listen to anyone else's opinion. Most tourney's don't even have all-tourney teams anymore and probably shouldn't. Someone is always left out and it can hurt feelings and sometimes teams!!
Anyway, great game tonight. These two teams are both very good!

Your all-tournament team for Pikeville and Belfry's players would have been good choices. The Adams kid really got some key rebounds and has come along leaps and bounds from last year (thanks Todd and keep it up Adams). Clevinger would have also been a good choice for MVP, a solid player and plays with a lot of heart. I know some one posted that all tournament teams don't have to be politically correct but I guess it is all in how you look at it. All tournament teams are good if you make them but can leave out some really good players and can hurt feelings. As for doing away with them all together, would that include District and Regional tournaments as well? Just asking.

Belfry was 0 -of-20 so that isnt good for 3 point range. Also as far as problem under neath. Remember Chad Steele is still injured. So watch out when he comes back, he will really be a big help.
