Waugh on fire all 4 quarters, Higgins had a huge 3rd quarter. And Knotts team defense was great in the 2nd half. The stripe that called the 5 sec call has some huge gonads. Also Alexis slone was huge on the glass. Love the win but really feel bad for Moore and the rest of the Lady Eagle seniors.

Fatpat believes Waugh is WAUGHSOME!!!! She shot the lights out. When it got dark, the only thing I could see was my 8 pats of butter glowing on my potato from the hospitality room and Stamper's teeth glowing while sitting next to Moore on Leslie's bench. Wowza!

It was a heartbreaking loss in the first round Tuesday to Knott Central. The Lady Patriots rallied in the second half and made the big plays down the stretch for a 59-56 victory.
Kristen Waugh scored 28 points to lead the Lady Patriots, including four free throws in the final 11.8 seconds to help Knott finish off the upset. Jada Higgins added 15 points, all in the second half, to spark the Knott comeback.Katie Moore finished her record-breaking Leslie County career with a 25-point performance. Madisyn Combs added 13 points for the 24-5 Lady Eagles.Congratulations to Knott on the win.Heartbreaking is not the word really.Eagles overlooked Knott and #22 Waugh is an exceptional player.Higgins is for real and Knott's defense was very good.Leslie had 11 turnovers while Knott had 9.No excuses from Leslie and good luck to Knott.

Well I'll eat crow on this one.Patriots stunned the world.Patriots played man in the second half and good move by Honeycutt.Leslie lives and dies by the three.Slone girl in the middle gets no credit and she played a good game on helping defense.Knott called Leslie's bluff,great poker hand to throw down.Am I the only one that hates the parking at Knott?Took me all night to get out.Worth it though,it was a great game.

Leslie Co when they won the 54th dis. they was acting like they won the 14 region. all i heard all weekend is how Leslie Co will win the 14 region.
the people that have been saying all that, i told them it would be funny as hell if Leslie Co draw KCC in the first round, and put Breathitt Co on that side also.

by how the draw come out, the best thing for PCC was to lose the 54th dis.

I'm so sick of hearing from all the LC fans about how they got cheated. Listen people your gonna have to get over it .... You got beat! Just like every other team that gets beat out of the tournament. What about when KCC was trying to inbounds the ball and they knocked Waugh flat on her face. There was no call there. Or how about the time they elbowed Higgins in the face so hard they about broke Her jaw. No call there. There were plenty of calls I seen that weren't called . Bottom line there was NO homecookin!!!!!!.... Give these young girls the credit they deserve. They have worked hard all year for this!!!! They deserved the W!!!!

I saw in the box score Moore only shot 4 free throws. That has to be a season low. I wasn't there so I can't say about the officiating but I know from keeping up with Leslie Moore usually shoots upwards of 20 + free throws a game.

First time i've seen Moore play this year but from what i seen of why she goes to the line so much is the way she drives into the basket she puts herself into the defense to draw the foul, Stamper did a good job on defense in keeping her from driving to the basket
