It's that time again...
the time for zaga to congratulate the Patriots for beating the Commodores...
Anyways, Perry threw a lot of things at Knott County to shut or slow Justice down and Evan Hall and Austin Combs really made them pay for it.
Tobler showed some signs of his freshman year with the way he stayed in foul trouble. You've gotta love the way he goes after the ball on the block while playing defense, but with Perry's size it's hard for him to play like that all the time.
Beverly almost shot Perry out of the game in this one. You know he can get hot and sometimes you can shoot yourself out of a slump, but his jump shot was short all night. He had some success driving to the basket, but by the time he really got that going the game was getting out of hand.
Evan Hall truly was the MVP of this tournament and you have to hand it for Justice for not trying to force his hand in this one and letting his teammates carry the load on offense when he had a guy in his face the whole time. Knott had several close games last year and dropped one to Hazard with teams playing them similar to this on defense.

I expected to see Justice do what he has done in the past and take more shots. Not the case in the tournament and it might give Knott the edge they need in the state tournament by involving the team more.He has proven he can take over if needed.Hope to see you in Rupp and would like to see a rematch with Clay.I don't like it when mountain teams face each other in Rupp but I believe it would be a classic rematch.

All I can say is that we received an old fashioned beat down. If Tobler gets in foul trouble, then we are done if we are playing a team such as Knott with a strong interior threat. I want to congratulate Knott for a big win. Perry has plenty of time to recover before postseason. We have to come up with a plan that will buy us time and keep Tobler out of foul trouble.
