District 7 3A is probably the worst district regardless of class. I'd even say that 8 beats each team in 7 by at least 30 points.

THose 3 districts are easily the worst and there is a legitimate chance 3A District 7 is the weakest of the lot with a very down Breathitt program in it.

They don't re-seed so LC would get Sheldon Clark instead of Magoffin. If Magoffin won LC would travel to Magoffin.. if SC wins LC would host Sheldon Clark since they are the better seed.
If for some reason Sheldon Clark won and Morgan Co won then it would be Sheldon Clark @ Morgan Co for the right to play for the Regional Title.
Now I am going to really blow your mind...
Let's say Sheldon Clark beats Magoffin... Lawrence beats Sheldon Clark... and Pike Central beats Belfry in the 2nd Round.
LC would then host the Regional Final against Pike Central... whoever wins that then hosts the Semi-Finals regardless who advances.
It is still possible that LC plays at home throughout the playoffs but only if Magoffin loses and Belfry loses before they have to face them.

To put what you said in perspective
2A district 5 - 17 total wins Out 5 teams combined. 7 come from district competition.
1A district 2 - 18 total wins, 4 teams combined. 4 in district play.
3A district 7 - 12 total wins from 5 teams. 8 against district opponents.
Yeah 3A-7 is sad.
Side note district 8 of 5A is pretty darn bad as well..
12 total wins and 4 from the district.

I see where your coming from. Breathitt is down and Magoffin would have been much better if their QB and RB didn't go down early in the season. I will say this. These kids play hard in this district and will hit you in the mouth. They will match up physically. I also do not compare scores especially when it was early in the season because teams can get better and usually do. Betsy Lane is a completely different team and they throw the ball. Some teams are better against the run than the pass. Breathitt played LC pretty darn good I thought. That was also early in the season and I'm sure the dawgs have gotten better but so has breathitt. I know the 3 and 4 seeds are down and will not compete against Lawrence and belfry but the other two games could get interesting. What if it comes a down pour at breathitt? Central is an air raid team. Breathitt relies more on the run this year. Hard to throw in a monsoon. Never know in high school football. Anyone can win on any night especially in these 2 3 games.
