Highlands 15 Cincinnati St X 10
#1
Highlands crosses the river for a scrimmage tonight and came away with the win, 15-10 after varsity plays 3 quarters and then JV teams played the 4th (St X JV won). Did not attend but was told Highlands threw 70% of time on offense after running mostly last week. St X offense looked bad according to those at the game.

Good showing for sure. How good is X compared to other years?

From the few I have heard from they look down, especially on offense.

Sounds like Highlands will find their way back to Bowling Green.

Highlands has to like the outcome of this game. Sounds like last week they tried their running game and this week their passing game. So now they are ready for the season.

It is some relief after how they looked against Trinity. Although every Highlands Trinity Scrimmage had a similar outcome, and those were some quality Highlands teams...

I am really excited about sleeper Austin Beal Jr DB. He returned an INT 80 yds for a TD in the X scrimmage and has some nice tackles against T.

This is one of St. Xavier's weakest teams in awhile, which is due to Moeller's recent success. That doesn't mean they're bad, just not the typical St.X team that's top 2 in Cincy. They still have a very strong defense, but their offense needs some work.

This was a very good result for Highlands, 2 TDs in 3 quarters against a team with more depth shows that they're starting to gel at the right time.
