Not only is the New Orleans Saints' Jimmy Graham re-defining the tight end position, but he has also inspired an NFL rule change. According to the league's vice president of officiating, players will no longer be allowed to dunk the ball over the goal post after touchdowns.
Dean Blandino confirmed the rule change during a radio interview with the "The Dan Patrick Show" on Tuesday. He said dunking the ball over the crossbar will now be considered a foul along with other touchdown celebrations that involve props.

No
Fun
League
Taking the fun out of the game. What's the big deal? Doesn't taking thing from game by doing this. Guess when you score a td you just walk back to bench.

Although I am not that opposed to this rule, there are a number of other issues that need attention than something this trivial.
I don't trust words, I trust action...

The Field Goal Post "dunking" sends the energy to the crowd. They need it.

It's bending banned due to the goal post being used as a prop...the players can still "dunk" as long as they don't touch goal post
