Congrats Valley on a big win.
My understanding was that this victory gives SV the #1 seed for district tourney, even though they technically finished in a tie with East Ridge with identical 3-1 records.
Whether it's because they won the second of the two games (a really stupid tiebreaker if you ask me), or if it was because this 7-point margin trumps the 1-point win by ER last week (which makes way more sense), either way Valley apparently wins the tiebreaker.

East Ridge still had another game vs Pikeville, but it doesn't matter now. I'd like to think overall region record should have been a better tie breaker.

The only thing I don't like about overall region record, is that what happens if Team A plays a lot of weak teams in the region twice and has a good record because of it.
Team B plays all the tougher teams in the region and has a mediocre record.
This result would not be fair to team B because of their tougher schedule.
The best result in a tiebreaker would have to be head to head margin of victory.

It's funny you all are worried about a crazy tie braker rule in your district. And it does sound crazy if it's like this. Try having some real problems like being in a 5 team district where everybody is good. No automatic bids like the pike county districts. Very unfair.

59th has sent more teams to state in the last 10 years than any other district. Relevance?

I have not seen East Ridge play this year, but they have to be a lot better than their 8-9 record.
If they beat Pikeville in the district, then they will be a tough team to play in the region.

Someone said he looked good just to come off the injury.
Maybe a couple more games and he will be in full force.
