Belfry Pride Goes Global
#1
Did I see a Back-To-Back T-Shirt and Belfry Hat on Amazing Race Sunday Night. Must Be Nice To Now Be Nationally Known. :letsparty

Smile I wish I could have watched it. I watched the first episode, but forgot to watch it last night. Are they still going to be on next week too?

My mom tells me about this every week. She said it was a coal miner and his wife from eastern kentucky. She told me about the shirt last night. lol She also said they finished in 7th place so they would be back next week.

I am so glad to see this thread I was going to start one if no one had already. I think that this is GREAT I just love that couple they are so kind... To have never been further than Tenn. They are holding thier own. Me and my girlfriend were talking about where we thought they were from on Friday and she said I bet from around Pike Co. and then there was that big BELFRY sweat shirt... That was awesome!!!!

I saw this last night as well and it tickled me. I was thinking to myself that they would never had another oppurtunity to travel like they are and probably had not done much moving around before. They are my favorite team this season and the Belfy attire last night was fantastic. Best of luck to them.

This is AWESOME! Only bad thing is, 7th place isn't looking too good for them. Hope they can step it up!! I just need to remember to watch.

Yea, Ive know David since I was 5 years old. I went to grade school and high school with him. Its really crazy to see someone on national televison and on a major primetime show that youve known almost all your life. Let me just say that he is exactly the same person on TV that he is in person. Not like some of the competitors who try to change theirself to promote theirselves on TV. Goodluck David and Mary, you have at least one community pulling for you. FYI, there are possibly alot of Belfry grads on here that were in high school with David and just dont remember him. Check your yearbooks, he was a '91 graduate of Belfry High School.

Beef, they placed near the end because David couldn't land the flaming arrow in the boat extremely quick. It was a skill AND luck challenge. Hopefully next time they will make it to the checkpoint quicker. Would love to see them walk away the winners. I will be pulling for them strongly.

That so cool

Yeah, I know David. He graduated one year ahead of me from Belfry. His dad also drove my schoolbus for a few years and they lived just a few miles from me.

I love that there is a team from Pike County on there and they are doing pretty good so far. I wish them all the best and I am sure that the Belfry community is behind them 110%.

Belfry Pride goes worldwide...yeee haw !....lol

Next season The Amazing Race will have one team from every state in the beginning so hopefully 2 more people from Eastern Kentucky will gain the chance to compete for us. No offense to other parts of the state but I would much rather see "one of us" get the oppurtunity.

When I saw that the challeng was a Bow and Arrow I thought "he has this in the bag"
I just knew that he was a deer hunter (with a bow). But he did great anyway!!!!!

That's cool as hell. Maybe that dude will have a different Belfry shirt on next time around.

They came in next to last the week before so they improved this week! I know him and his family. One of my best friends is his cousin! I think it is great to see them on there. They might be a little bit to nice compared to a few of the teams and that might hurt them later on! Good luck David and Mary. We are all behind you and I loved the Belfry shirt! I never was a fan of this show, but I watch it every week now!
Welcome to the best site in town! If you need anything, just let me know.

My kids are in class with their kids and what everyone is saying is correct!! They are exactly the same in person as you see on the show.
