Beechwood looks set up to make another run in 1A. Mayfield seems to be the only thing in their way.
NCC and Danville up to 2A.
CovCath and Highlands both petition to be moved to 5A and they were allowed to do so.
No NKY teams in 3A or 4A.

If a schools enrollment declines for a few years, how long will it take the KHSAA to drop them from 2A to single A? That is something I have wondered about for a while now. Also, does anyone know how many students it takes to make each of the soon to be 6 classes?
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

Breathitt has Fleming County in their district, that is different from the previous version of the alignment, but I like it because it makes for a tougher district at least one game. Knott Central IMO has really no shot at winning their district, they haave Corbin, Middlesboro, and Leslie County to deal with.

Same as before, basically, but games in the first 2 rounds will be against teams from the SAME District instead of neighboring Districts - this guarantees both Districts (actually, all the Districts in the state) having a team still alive in the 3rd round

Why did Highlands get moved and where did they get moved too?
08-24-2006, 06:43 PM
they requested a move from 3A to 5A.
Put in the new Dist. 5 w/ Cov. Cath. (which moves up from 4A), Dixie Heights, Holmes & Scott.

That's one of the things that I like the most is that you can "play up" classes if you so choose.
