Is this the same Manual team that Bowling Green demolished last week? I know there is a difference in 5A and 3A, but Central must not be as good as advertised.

Centrals Defense is very tough. Centals offensive line has lots of problems.Scott county beat them 23-6 and it really wasnt even that close. Central blocked a punt inside Scotts 20 to get there lone score.#scrimmage

This may be the year somebody breaks Central's stranglehold on 3A. But, I would not count them out. They always seem to get better as the year rolls along.

Look no further than either Paducah Tilghman or Fort Campbell to be that team that knocks them off. Both of these teams have the talent pool. PT's question will be can they be smart enough to stay out of their own way. Fort Campbell's question will be how quick can they get their OL up to speed, because they are new. Whichever get that key fixed will be the team Central will have to travel to play the day after Thanksgiving.

Ive said it since day one of the offseason last year.

This Central team will not be even close to what they have been.
If anyone has a chance at taking 3A over, its this year.

Ive said numerous times that i thought Wayne County could beat Central this year, and i think its holding true. Most likely a Belfry/Wayne County championship IMHO.

I watched a little bit of this game online. Where was Beason the RB who saw some time late last year? It looked like they were using #29, a speedy but diminutive kid at tailback.

Central was nasty on defense. Manual did very little effectively.

The colder it gets the more important defense becomes. Don't count Central out.

From what I've heard ( saw them this summer &. My son helped them out b4 he had to report to camp) obviously to no avail with their O-line. However two starting running backs could not dress due to the fact their AD missed turning in their E-school work so those two did not dress , don't know if it would have mattered , but my son & Michael Dyer went to the game & they told me ineffective blocking is the main Achilles heel , they did fumble at the 1 going in right b4 half.
From what I've been told the d still does not give up ground yards, Scott co & manual both had to go to the air. Both top 10 6A teams. They have a backup soph qb who came into a playoff game his frosh year last year & drove central for the game winner , I look for him to unseat the incumbent starter.
I work for another high school & have to work our home games , between that & the cards ,no telling when I'll actually get to see them.

Central will be fine. Coach Scroggins, even with his championships is very underrated for his coaching. Central will beat most 3A opponents with their defense alone.

Tedford is a nice proto type like qb , but I would go with the sophomore he reminds me of Johnny football .
He's very similar to last years qb , Gibbs .
