* The BGR Power Rankings are a different take on rankings offering a regional breakdown with all classes combined. These rankings are intended to be fluid with merit awarded on performance, strength of schedule, and the general "it" factor. A team is not guaranteed to retain their spot with a victory, nor are they guaranteed to move down due to a loss**

1. Somerset- In possibly the toughest region to rank.. the 2A Semi-Finalists get the ever so slight nod for their 2012 resume and subsequent returning experience from that team.

2. Wayne County- The Cardinals were a surprise in 2012 when they pushed Bell County and Louisville Central to their limits. They return basically the entire team and will be a definite team to watch.

3. Pulaski County- The Maroons have not been the picture of consistency with their regular season performances, but their post season runs certainly paint the picture of possibly the region's most consistent program. Expect offensive fireworks.

4. Russell County- The Lakers basically went wire to wire atop the Power Rankings last season thanks to an undefeated season and run to the Regional Finals. Graduation definitely effected the Lakers, but they will certainly be right in the picture once again.

5. Whitley County- The Colonels lose their all-everything Fullback..but have a strong core returning from a tough team including their dangerous QB.

Looks good to me I know both Somerset and Wayne County have seasoned clubs should be a great year for Football fans in Southern Ky!
