According to Jerry Meyer of 247Sports.com, It looks as though 3 of the top 10 recruits for the class of 2013 acquired by Kentucky are not academically eligible yet to play for the school. Little information is known at the moment, but the school has released a statement saying they expect their class of 2013 signees to attend their fall classes. It is possible it could simply be a matter of the players needing to complete some summer credits before being allowed to play. That would be the same situation Floridaâs Chris Walker currently finds himself in.
Stay tuned to Busting Brackets as more information becomes available.

The twins are in Florida on vacation. I wouldn't read to much into them needing classes. If was anything to it,, they wouldn't be on vacation.. I know James Young has been awfully quite lately on twitter though.. Just about every player that has academic problems is known way before their high school career is over. The only reason Chris Walker isn't at UK is Cal knew about him more than likely never being college eligible. Florida took the gamble and it appears to have bitten them in the ass.

The Twins graduated late so they have not been cleared yet. IDK about young.
.The Harrisons didn’t graduate from high school until the second Saturday in June and Young was in class until June 13th, They simply weren’t able to register and get to campus in time

I'm sure it's nothing,, but,, just because they're not enrolled in summer school,, shouldn't stop them from being on campus. I think there is a lil more to it than their schools letting out late. For what ever reason, everyone is being a tad bit to hush hush about it. The twins were talking it up about UK and getting to campus before they were told it was to late to enroll. Seriously, not one person at UK couldn't have let them know prior it was to late to enroll? Since the weekend they came, then abruptly left, not one word from either of them about UK, and Young deactivated his twitter account. I'm sure all will be fine in the end, but just think there is more to it than is being let known.

I had lunch with someone who works close with the team and they indicated all is good. That the Harrison Twins and Young completed freshman orientation and scheduled their physicals.

Young's HS coach said last week that there will be zero problems with his eligibility. It's the same with the Harrison's really. It's been blown out of proportion, lol.
The big question for eligibility is Chris Walker at Florida. Could be the difference between a Final Four or worse for UF...

Enes Kanter.

That had nothing to do with grades. Kanter just got caught getting his money on top of the table instead of under. :eyeroll:

Can't get caught when they were up front to begin with. Kanter's parents kept up with how much money he had received, and paid it back, 20k in school expenses and 10k in traveling expenses. They were under the assumption that as long as it was paid back, he'd be ok. Just bad info by someone. Add in UK that didn't help as someone else, same scenario, was allowed to play after sitting out a few games. Can't remember his name, just remember the circumstances.

When Kanter got paid...he became a professional. No ifs and buts about it. UK fans can spin that one all they want. And I don't care if he paid it back...that is not something the NCAA can allow and set a precedent for others to try and pull that stunt. It would open up a big can of worms. We have enough worms in college basketball. Starting with the business partners named Calipari and World Wide Wes. :eyeroll:

Who is trying to spin it, anyone with a half brain would know they never tried to cover it up. They told the NCAA from beginning that he received money, it didn't become an issue until he came to UK. And again there was others that came from over seas that received basically the same deal that was allowed to play for other college teams. No worse than Louisville football and Alabama football paying player's or letting them make money off autographs, lol. Or Duke and unc in basketball. If your going to be a hypocrite, then give dues where they're due.

We can thank Mark Emmert for Kanter not getting eligible.

I hope this all works out okay. We really need these three players to avoid another so-so year.
