Knott won first matchup at Jackson pitching a 7th grader in his first high school start. If Knott saves Cornett for Hazard it may be close but if Knott pitches Cornett then Jackson wont score. Personally I sat save Cornett for Hazard. I know a lot of folks say never save pitching but cornett is only shot Knott has of even playing with Hazard so I say roll the dice and if you lose you lose and if you win it will be interesting.

If Knott pitches Cornett in the 1st round then Hazard walks through the region because with their draw they will face Letcher or Estill in the finals and both teams will be out of pitching. Personally I think if Knott pulls the upset against Hazard, knocking out Meehan would be just as good as winning the region and Meehan would probably cry on the field. Im not saying Cornett will beat Hazard but he is only chance Knott has.

KCC should get by Jackson City but don't think they can beat Hazard even if Cornett pitches.Not taking anything away from Cornett either.Just don't see it happening.I think this is Hazard's year.I think Letcher and Hazard will be in the finals with Hazard winning due to their depth.Letcher behind Coach Dean will be a tough out for sure.Appears KCC has come on as of late but Hazard is loaded from top to bottom.Strange things have happened in regional baseball and I might be proven wrong.Can't wait.
