Turnovers and generally sloppy play kill the Pirates and it's back to the drawing board.

No Shane Hall, either. Awful second half.

Messer had a pretty good dunk in the first couple of minutes.

Messer was totally a nonfactor. Disappointed in his play. Thought without Hall playing we would see an awesome performance from him. Great second half by JC. Blair was a class act player.

It seems that most everyone thinks of offense only. There is a reason that Messer, a fine player, and Belfry did not do well and that reason was Johnson Central's defensive effort. Central's interior defense was excellent and led to many stops, turnovers and some good offensive layups. Give credit where credit is due. Good win. Go Eagles.

Messer was a factor, when he was in the game. JCHS couldn't stop him once he got the ball but did a good job controlling him once he got the ball. Any way you cut it up, yes, the defense was good (McKenzie made an adjustment after the 1st and ran with it from there) Belfry still turned the ball over and could have not done so. Last night was very possible the foulingest game I've ever seen. The officials sucked equally for both teams, no one got screwed at least.

I really liked JCHS guards. I think Belfry may have underestimated them badly. I believe there was an Adkins, Blair, and my personal favorite Slade McPeek (could be my favorite name ever.. That kid was destined to be badass at something)
