Highlands wont overlook CavCath. CovCath in the playoffs is like next to state games and playing GCL teams. These kids are going to be jacked up on both sides.

This is CovCaths year to do it with a 3 yr QB senior. Cov Cath and Highlands will move down the field and score all night. If Cov Cath can balance out Birs slants and outs with a power run up the gut the 'Birds D could be in trouble. If CC makes less mistakes and sp teams flops than H they have a shot to win it.

Id guess the score to be 21-14 Colonels at the Half. Then a heavy dose of Harris and McCoy runs. The Birds will make a few adjustments and win 35-32.

It will be state championship attmosphere tonight. If Highlands does not have the turnovers, I like them to win 42-21. If they have the turnovers like in the last couple of games CCH will hang around and make it a close game but still comes up short.

Another perspective on the game:

Win or lose the blue colonel safety is no slouch in the classroom...Perfect score 36 on the ACT is brilliant.

Looking forward to a great game and showing some middle schoolers what it takes to be successful on the high school level...hope you all do the same with your youngsters. They had the regular season and first couple playoff games to be teens and " wolfpack " around with their buds. Butts will be in bleachers tonight. It's time to watch and learn from the best in the region and state.

Weather is going to be ideal also. Have fun, be safe, pray the players are injury free!

sstack Wrote:You have a real distaste for HHS, haven't you picked against them in just about every game this year? HHS beat them fairly easily first match-up, are playing better now then the first game, and have home field advantage. What makes you think CCH wins the rematch. I would like to hear your reasons why or is it just you hate HHS and would love to see them get beat?

Dont worry, i have a distaste for everybody. Not just you all.
And BTW, i have picked Highlands every single time this year, even against Cov Cath in the first one.
Football becomes boring when the same team wins every year. Everyone starts getting sick of the same ole. If theres ever been a chance of an upset happening, its this one. After this, HHS will have little trouble, but this is an obstacle, and a sturdy one.

Gut...it's good to know your distaste doesn't discriminate...have a great weekend half empty.

Unless it is your team! I agree, if HHS gets by this game(which I think they will fairly easily) it is pretty easy the rest of the way.

Highlands by 21. Close until halftime then Highlands makes adjustments and pulls away late. But I've been wrong before and anything can happen.
