Covcath 32 - Turkeyfoot ( Dixie Heights ) 16
Congrats to the blue colonels...Anchored by Cole Vonhandorf and Alex Shelton they were simply too much for the Indians. Score was 16-0 at the half and the two late scores by the Indians came against Covcaths second team.
Covcath finishes the season undefeated at 8-0, Turkeyfoot 7-3. Best wishes for the future success of all the young men involved in tonights game!

Thanks Spirit- I'm tardy in posting this but wanted to comment as well.
8-0 plus a win over the D1 #2 seed Union that didn't count against Cov Caths season but did against Union's.
This is a case of a team many haven't seen that likely would have ended up being a #1 seed if they were in the state tourney (which they presently have no desire to do). Although VonHandorf & Shelton are the primary weapons on both sides, they have lots of incredible depth at all spots. Shelton could also probably long snap for varsity now.
Fun to watch- spread the ball around on offense & incredibly aggressive on D.
Scored first on a nice wheel route to Shelton for @ 50 yards. Then Vonhandorf ran it in from @ 6 yards out to make it 16-0 at half. In the 2nd half Best took it off tackle @ 35 yards- then VonHandorf found Bir wide open after a nice roll out then Bir broke through a pile up & ran it on a 60 yard score. Turkeyfoot ran in a couple TD's after CCH went to their bench in the 4th quarter to make it 32-16 final.
Great great season & I promise that if this group sticks together at CCH we will all hear their names on Friday nights.
