Congratulations to a great group of girls who seem to be gelling at the right time. In addition to this accomplishment, they also broke the old school record for wins in a season (19), and now stand at 25-8 on the season!

Crazy good day. And they were missing a normal starter due to an illness in her family. Thoughts out to her family. Teammates are stepping up and doing there part to make them a formidable unit. Marion County IS a very good team. Villa Madonna is solid, plays great defense, relies very heavily on ONE player. But IMO their best player overall is their libero. Don't think I saw her make a single error in the two games I saw them play. Their offense drops off quite a bit when their big goes out. Marion is just solid all the way across, still good when their big goes out, they get away with. Lot of pushes of the ball over top of blockers into empty spots on the floor, but hey, if the refs aren't going to call it, don't blame them. Their D at the net is unreal too. Just a great game to watch!
