What was once a proud rivalry has fallen on hard times.

Tomcats 45

Lions 0
#2
This won't be pretty. Similar to The Ashland/Rowan County game.
#3
Tomcats win big.

Tomcats = Running Clock!
#6
This will be over after the first quarter. Q Baker will run wild on the county's D.
#7

#8
i too remember this as a once storied rivalry, in the 70's and 80's. but boyd county has fallen way off. while ashland has consistently been a powerhouse program.

I am not old enough to remember the 70's and 80's but I remember in the 90's and early 2000's there were some good games. It seems about 2005 is when this series became what it is today.

Wow no one cares about this game anymore as shown by the inactivity in this thread.

Wait til baseball. From an Ashland fan.

I would love to see this series become solid again, this is just my 2nd football season in the ashland area so i have no memory of when the two were close in talent in the past. Having said that Ashland by as much as they want.

Git r done tomcats---i think ashland goes in to playoff time with their only loss coming at the hands of the ironton fighting tigers.
But then i ain't seen johnson central ball either.
By tomorrow i won't be able to say that anymore.

I think belfry poses more of threat than central. But both teams could beat us if they play well.

Will Ashland cancel this game because of the rain.
#18
They have pulled that number before.

I don't think so this time. It's homecoming and I would guess the dance is scheduled for tomorrow.
#19
GAME IS ON.

Beatdown to follow......

GO CATS!!!!
#20
The mud will help Boyd a little bit. Not enough to keep it close though.
#21
The field is in great shape, shouldn't be much of an issue unless we get some more heavy rain during the game.
#22
Finally get to see #3 Jackson starting tonight, but as a safety. I think he'll get some carries tonight as well hopefully get to see him run wild.
