Brodus Clay Turning Heel?

There has been talk of giving Brodus Clayâs character more of an edge and dropping his dancing Funkasaurus gimmick. Clay will be appearing in the upcoming WWE Studios horror movie âNo One Lives,â which could be factor.

Yeah, Funkasaurus character as much as a fan I was in the beginning...starting to fade out.

He's rumored to face Damien Sandow at Summerslam.

They tried the unstoppable/goldberg-like-thing with him and it didn't go over. I think they should tweak the Funkasaurous gimmick to see if it helps. The dude just doesn't go over otherwise.

Unfortunately for Clay, he is a mid-card guy, at best. The Funkasaurus gimmick is great for him. It is, almost, a modern day Junkyard Dog type gimmick if you suck all JYD's charisma out of it. I think it is best to leave him alone and let him do his thing like dancing with the kids in the ring and so on. WWE really has no one else like that character going right now and I just don't think he is good enough to be a main event heel unless he gets sent back down to Florida to develop some more. Just my opinion.
