University of Kentucky football coach Joker Phillips has confirmed that redshirt freshman cornerback Marcus Caffey has been ruled academically ineligible and will miss the 2012 season.
Caffey was projected to be a starter for the Wildcats.
The athletic Caffey has drawn comparison to former Kentucky cornerback Trevard Lindley, an All-Southeastern Conference cornerback.
Caffey will remain in school and practice with the Kentucky football team.

If you were excited to see him, and he is projecting out to be an all conference type of player, then that is a good job recruiting.
