How many Final Four players finished school?
#1
indystar.com, the website for the Indianapolis Star, put out a database that examines the graduation status of Final Four players from 1991 to 2007. It includes players that didn't graduate due to going pro early, players that didn't graduate right away, and there are no private schools in the database. It's pretty cool to look at.

note: the database only includes players that played over a minute in the semi final or championship game.

Local Schools
Cincinnati (92): 63% earned degree, ranked 10th out of 28
Illinois (05): 88% earned degree, ranked 1st out of 28
Indiana (92, 02): 83% earned degree, ranked 2nd out of 28
Kentucky (93, 96, 97, 98): 46% earned degree, ranked 18th out of 28
Louisville (05): 63% earned degree, ranked 10th out of 28
Ohio State (99, 07): 44% earned degree, ranked 19th out of 28

interesting stats

another note: players had to graduate from the school they represented in the final four in order to count, even if they went back and got it later. for example, jamal mashburn and derek anderson both have degrees, but neither one finished at UK. corie blount and vince carter didn't have degrees when they left, but went back to their schools later on and finished.

^ We may never see that in a college Final Four again....

^The only way would be if a mid-major made it. Even then, it still isn't likely, lol.
