Reds Win Sixth Straight Game
#1
The Reds finished off a sweep of the Mets today by a score of 3-1. They have now won six games in a row.

Cincy currently stands at 38-27, 4 games up on Pittsburgh and 5 games up on St. Louis.

Reds still have a tough next three weeks leading into the All-Star break. 20 games, 14 on the road, including an 11 game trip to the west coast just before the break. If the Reds can maintain the division lead by then, they will be in good shape for the second half.

They are playing some great baseball right now.

Can they keep this up or fizzle out come august like every other year?

^ Gut, I've said it from the beginning of the year - I reserve my feelings until after the All-Star break!

Can the Reds keep Votto for many years, or will somebody buy him?

He should be a Red for life.

Should be, but will the Reds keep him?
I think he goes somewhere else as soon as free agency comes open.

He just signed a 10 year extension, I doubt they would trade him.

He's already an elite player, so they would be wise to hang on to him.
