MOUNT VERNON — Pulaski County forced Casey County into 32 turnovers as it rolled to a 79-40 victory Friday night in the championship game of the boys 47th District Tournament at Rockcastle County.
Pulaski (21-10) led wire to wire, and Casey (4-27) didn't get its first field goal until Taylor Leigh 7 minutes, 33 seconds into the game, cutting the Maroons' lead to 19-8.
Taylor Gover and Kody Johnson scored 18 points each and Tyler Goins added 15 for Pulaski, which pulled its starters with 2:19 remaining in the third quarter, when it led 60-25.
Baylen Hill led Casey with eight points, and Micah Smith had seven.
Both teams advance to the 12th Region Tournament, which opens Wednesday at Pulaski. Pairings for the regional will be drawn Saturday.http://www.centralkynews.com/amnews/spor...9117.story
