Mason Co.'s record is 8-9, not 3-15 as the box score suggests.

My mistake...I thought this was a boys game. Yes the girls are 3-15. Things are in definite disarray in Maysville.

You are very correct about disarray in Maysville. Plenty of talent on the floor just not playing well as a team. New coach having hard time pulling team together. The termoil that was left behind from last year is still in full spin cycle, and I am not sure that Mason County did the new coach any favors by giving her, her first head coaching job. An experienced coach or at least one well known and respected by the players would have proably been a wiser decision this time around. Its hard enough to deal with a loosing season but but a fisrt time head coach coming into a mess is only asking for trouble. I understand that another player (varsity starter) has quit the team this past week. I think a time out is in order ......

Mason has only won 3 games. However they have 7 games with losses of 7 points or less. Mason lost a their point gaurd in the second game of the season and the back up a couple games after that. They used a new transfer player that played a 4 or 5 at her old school as point. Both injured players started working themselves into the lineup around the Christas break. Mason did knock off George Rogers Clark, and took a extremely talented and tall Highlands (out of NKY) to overtime, only to loose by 2 points. Highlands has two players over 6 foot and one of them is a guard that is being looked at by Xavier and other D-1 schools.
This team is talented enough to win several games but I think with the combination of a rookie head coach, injuries, and only two players that logged any significant minutes on the court at the same time last year, they will not come out on the winning side of some of the winable games.
