Player to watch: China Dow, a 5-10 guard/forward, is one of the stateâs top juniors after averaging 16 points last season. Rice has moved Dow from point guard to small forward to give her more scoring opportunities in the paint.

Outlook: It all starts with Dow, whom Rice said has developed into a smarter player. âShe just tried so many wild things when she was coming up through the system,â Rice said. âNow sheâs gotten to where she waits for the game to come to her.â Rice hopes defenses will collapse on Dow inside, opening things up for Joss and Shaheen on the perimeter.
